Arms and Legs
Thigh lift (crural lift) or arm lift (brachial lift) reshapes and reduces excess skin and fat (in some cases), resulting in smoother skin and a more proportionate contour.
Who is it recommended for?
It is recommended for people who have lost a lot of weight. This surgery is also recommended in cases of sagging due to a constitutional (conformational) genetic origin.
How is the procedure performed?
. In arms:
Excess skin and fat is removed from the area through an incision in the armpit, which can extend to the inner face, depending on the degree of sagging. The arms are reshaped, achieving a more harmonious contour.
. In thighs:
A positioned incision is made in the groin. In cases of more severe sagging, it extends to the inner face of the thighs. The goal is to reshape, eliminate excess skin, reposition the skin and create softer contours.
How is the recovery process?
Apply dressings and bandages to the incisions.
→ Wrapping with elastic or compression bandages helps minimize swelling and provide support to the new silhouette.
→ A temporary surgical drain may be placed under the skin.
→ The patient will be given medications for specific care and will require a post-operative follow-up.
