Body contouring
Also known as liposculpture, body contouring surgery or liposuction, it reshapes specific areas of the body and removes excess fat.
Who is it recommended for?
It is recommended for patients who, even with a healthy life, have some accumulation of fat in the body.
Here are some medical recommendations:
→ Adults with weight (BMI) up to 30% above ideal, with firm skin and good muscle tone.
→ Healthy individuals who do not have decompensated diseases or medical conditions that may hinder the scarring process.
→ Non-smokers.
→ People with a positive attitude and realistic expectations of the outcome.
→ People determined to follow the recommendations of the plastic surgeon.
How is the procedure performed?
Through small imperceptible incisions of approximately 4mm. The fat is removed (by suction) from the previously defined regions and small cannulas are introduced.
I am obese and I need to lose weight, is liposuction an ideal alternative?
Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity. The procedure does not replace consistent exercise regimen or good eating habits.
What should I expect during my body contouring recovery?
We recommend using compression garments or elastic bandages on the treated areas to help control swelling and compress the skin.
→ We introduce a small temporary surgical drain under the skin to remove excess blood or fluid.
→ All procedures are performed under the supervision of our physicians.
→ The definitive shape and volume will appear from 6 months to 1 year after surgery.
